Providence Canyon State Park
By Melissa | November 9, 2008
Josh, Zoë and I went camping this weekend with Robb and George - a father-son duo that Josh works with. They brought their dog Quizz, Zoë’s boyfriend. We went down to Providence Canyon in west Georgia. I’ve been wanting to check out this park for a long time, and it was definitely very cool. We hiked in on Saturday morning to one of their six backcountry campsites, and then we spent the rest of the day exploring and just hanging around. The weather was pretty mild, too. One of the highlights was hearing coyotes howling at night. I can’t think of any more details than that - so tired.

I think the two best parts were Zoe in her new backpack, and of course, Robb and I boiling water in a plastic bottle.

Great place!
