Update, in photos

Check it out, I FINALLY got around to making our front flower beds look halfway decent:

I planted gerbera daisies:

Zinnias (not pictured), “Joeys” (a.k.a. pink mulla mullas, also not pictured, apparently I am incapable of remembering where I stashed my pictures), and portulacas:

Oh, and also a butterfly bush that should have dark-purple-almost-black flowers:

And also cool: bees on my African daisies!

Zoë helped, and by “helped,” I mean “laid nearby and chewed on sticks.”

When I wasn’t outside, I was making stuff. Like this skirt that is wearable in public! I still won’t be on Project Runway anytime soon, but it’s passable as an actual garment a person would wear.

Tracey commissioned me to make this cloak for the Renaissance Festival. I plan to make my own as well–full frontal nerdity, y’all.

That’s what I’ve been up to lately. How about you?

  1. What have I been up to? Mostly watching all your nerdity.

  2. Amazing cloak! I’m jealous of your garden. I’m looking for one to rent here. Like the ones that Tracey saw and thought that the poor Germans live in tiny huts by the train tracks.

  3. I felt sorry for them! I hope you get a garden, Emily.
